# coordinates of interesting places.
I decided to take a stop at the abandoned St. Agnes Hospital located on the campus of St. Augustine University. They seem to want ideas on what to do with the property in its current state, but for right now, I think people exploring it and learning about it is sufficient. There’s a lot of cool history about this place, but I don’t think explaining here would do it justice. I recommend checking out this link for more information.
I found this place on Google Maps and decided to go there. Formerly this place was called the Raleigh Water Works and E.B. Bain Water Treatment Plant. Originally built in 1941, apparently this place has “three storage reservoirs for treated water, dating from 1887, 1940 and the 1950s” (for more information, check out this link here). I wish I was able to sneak inside, but there were so many signs prohibiting any sort of entrance. I’m considering going back at a later date and trying to fully enter.
This is a spot that one of my friends had identified, and a couple of us decided to try and climb it. My climbing skills were far too subpar to scale the building, but my friends ended up getting inside. Apparently, according to this blogpost, this was some sort of youth leisure center named the Almássy Square Pioneer and Youth House, Leisure Center.
I’ve always walked by this building in the middle of the city in Budapest. I’m unsure what it is, but a couple of friends and I figured out how to get inside and we ended up climbing up a couple of stories and graffitied some walls. The only issue was that it was the sketchiest place ever. So many elevator shafts and large, unguarded holes everywhere. Deadly fall hazards everywhere. Anyways, it was a 10/10 experience. I would recommend.
I saw this area as I was hiking a trail. I’m unsure exactly what it is, but according to this Google Review, it’s some area where the Royal Family used to store their hunting equipment.
